Testing Paper

Description

I used a new kind of paper for my Copic coloration.

I don’t know exactly why but I really began to suck at drawing and coloring on paper that is intended for markers.
I did my Pyramid Head Fanart on Copic Marker Paper. Even till this day I can say that it is by far the best drawing I ever did or at least the one that came out the way I wanted it to (which is pretty sad, since I made it 5 years ago).
I tried a lot of different brands but was never satisfied with the result.
The color was too dull, the Copic liquid became sludgy when I used more than two layers of paint, the (typical) white spots start to show up etc.
It’s hard to tell by digitised images, but I actually edit the shit out of my drawings to make them remotely acceptable.

But lately I remembered some notebooks of the same brand with blank paper me and my friend at that time used as “Con Hons" .
According to my memory that paper was awesome. The color came out bright and clean, and it rarely ended up beeing sludgy or bleeding over the outlines.
The brand is called Clairefontaine.
I’m only aware of the notebooks and I don’t know if they sell actual sketch blocks.
But that doesn’t stop me from using them anyway.
It will probably get tedious soon cutting out every single piece of paper, but it’s worth it.

So, to all the people out there who have similar problems with Marker Paper: Get yourself some Clairefontaine and tell your old block to go fuck itself.

And to all the people who actually read this much text and happen to know a grammarnazi: Please show them this one and send me the corrected version so I can improve my English.
